for seven years, and was one of the founders of Oshkosh Wood Products and vice president in charge of its operation from 1936-51. The former local postmaster was a member of Fox Valley Society of Industrial Engineers, and had served two years as president of the Wisconsin Chapter of National Association of Postmasters. In the mid-30's, he won the Oshkosh civic award, and founded the citywide boys baseball program, sponsored each year by Oshkosh Elks. He was a former chairman of the Winnebago County Democratic Party. Surviving are his widow, Ann; three children, Mary Ann, Betty Jane and Ray Allan; and two brothers, Frank, Rt.

Kelly APPLETON Robert C. Kelly, 28, Rt. 1, Kaukauna, died at 3 p.m. Friday. A life resident of the Appleton area, Mr.

Kelly was born in the Town of Ellington Nov. 23, 1940. He had worked four years at the Central Paper Company and had presently been employed at Tuttle Press, Apple-ton. He had served four years with the U.S. Army.

He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom. He was married April 15, 1963, to the former Renata Alice Kramer. Survivors in addition to the widow are two daughters, Mary and Connie, and two sons, Robert Jr. and Michael, all at home, his parents, Mr.

and Mrs. Clement Kelly, Shiocton; seven brothers, Thomas, Patrick, David, James Gene and Clement all of Shiocton; four sisters, Mrs. Glenn Young, Appleton; Rosemary, Carol and Diane, all of Shiocton. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at St.

Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom, with the Rev. Alfred Hietpas officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Stephens-ville. Friends may call at the Ellen-becker-Andersen Funeral Home, Appleton, after 3 p.m.

Sunday. The rosary will be prayed at the funeral home at 8 o'clock Sunday evening. James B. Keddell APPLETON James B. Keddell, 81, Golden Age Home, Appleton, died at 12:30 a.m.

today after a short illness. Mr. Keddell was born May 22, 1888, in Merrill, and was a life resident of Appleton. He retired in 1958 from the Giddings and Lewis Machine Company. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs.

Arthur Bobb, Menasha; Mrs. Lester Salm, Appleton; Mrs. Lloyd Kobs, Rt. 1, Apple-ton; Mrs. Lyle Marquardt, Neenah, and Mrs.

Jerry Lauten-schlager, Rt. 2, Shiocton; six sons, James Thomas R. and Clyde, all of Appleton; Donald Menasha, and Floyd Neenah; grandchildren and great-gran d-children. The Rev. Ernest S.

Heeren will officiate at funeral services at 2 p.m. Monday at the Valley Funeral Home, Appleton. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 p.m. Sunday until time of service.

Two Rings Are Stolen Two rings worth an estimated $835 were stolen this past week in the burglary of an Oshkosh home. The rings, taken from a bedroom dresser jewelry box, were reported by Edward A. Eberhart as taken from his home at 911 W. Bent Ave. The breakin occurred while he and his family were on vacation this past week.

The theft was discovered when the family returned late Friday afternoon. Missing, police were told, are a platinum ring carrying a three-quarter carat diamond and six smaller diamonds plus a black onyx ring with the initial and a small diamond. The platinum ring alone is worth $750, Eberhart told officers. Entry to the home was apparently gained through windows on a screened-in porch that were left closed but unlocked. Wife Is Granted Divorce Decree Citing a five-year voluntary separation, a divorce decree was granted Friday ending the marriage of Elbert William Wiles, 42, of 516 Waugoo Oshkosh, and Jane M.

Wiles, 32, of 441 Monroe also Oshkosh. The couple was married Aug. 18, 1956, and separated' in September of 1960. The divorce, granted to the wife, was awarded by County Court Judge Herbert J. Mueller.

the day Classified Display Raymond Novotny, 67, Oshkosh postmaster for 32 years until retiring April 20, 1968, was pronounced dead on arrival today at 8 a.m. at Mercy Hospital, where he had been taken from his home. Under his supervision, the local post office was one of a few that was able to operate within the budget and turn back to the government as much as' $1 million at the end of a fiscal year. While acting as liaison between the Post Office Department in Washington, D. Ray Novotny and local he studied the expanding role for postal service and had drawn up basic plans to consider in a planned postal facility at i 1 1 a County Airport.

He was instrumental in having Oshkosh designated as a sectional center to serve 55 other offices, and he worked with the regional office in developing a parcel post annex here as one of the first in the country which resulted in use of the ZIP code July 1, 1963. Mr. Novotny served as state assemblyman for Oshkosh from 1933-36, was a member of the assembly's finance committee and minority leader in 1935. He was born in Jenikov, Czechoslovakia, on July 31, 1902, and was married in Neenah on Jan. 7, 1933, to Ann Wicinske.

A graduate of Oshkosh High School, he completed two years of residence in civil engineering Michael McGlynn Michael P. McGlynn, 27, of 1935 Oak was pronounced dead on arrival today at 2 a.m. at Mercy Hospital, where he had been taken from his home. He had been earlier hospitalized with a bronchial infection. He was born in Milwaukee on July 14, 1942, and was married in Wheeling, 111., to Maryellen Williams on June 12, 1965.

Mr. McGlynn came to Oshkosh in October 1968, and was an account executive for Geer-Murray, Inc. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Big Brothers and Oshkosh Community YMCA. A gtaduate of Loyola University, he was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity.

Surviving are his widow, Maryellen; two daughters, Megan and Colleen, one son, Patrick Michael, at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas McGlynn, Palentine, a grandmother, Mrs. Edward Fes-er, De Pere; four brothers and one sister. Friends may call at Fiss Bills Funeral Home Sunday from 6-9 p.m.

Prayer service will bs held at 7:30 p.m. Arrangements for further service in Chicago will be made later. Neenah-Menasha Henry G. Hein MENASHA Henry G. Hein, 70, of 308 Lisbon Menasha, died at Theda Cark Memorial Hospital Friday morning.

A resident of Menasha for 30 years, Mr. Hein was born in Sherwood Oct. 14, 1898. He retired from American Can Company in 1964. Survivors are the widow, Viola; a daughter, Mr.

Lewis Neimuth, Rt. 1, Larsen; a son, Lt. (j.g.) Lee C. Hein, Charleston Naval Base, Charleston, S.C.; one brother, William, Milwaukee, and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m.

Tuesday at the Laemmrich Funeral Home, Menasha, with the Very Rev. Msgr. Aloysius Trzebialowski officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m.

Parish vigil will be held at 7 p.m. Charles Bantleon WEYAUWEGA -Charles Bantleon, 76, of Rt. 2, Wey-auwega, died Friday at his home after an illness of six months. Mr. Bantleon was born on Feb.

15, 1893, in Weyauwega, and spent his entire life in Weyauwega. He had been a nursery employe and was a veteran of World War I. He is survived by two brothers, Fred, Flasher, N.C.; and William of Pine City, four sisters, Florence and Betty of Weyauwega; Mrs. Ethel Wallington and Mrs. Edward Baranowski, both of Toledo, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at the Harrigan Funeral Home, Weyauwega, at 2 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. DeLoyd Huenink officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery, y-auwega. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m.

Saturday and there will be graveside military rites conducted by the Arndt-Burley American Legion post No. 176 on Sunday. Appleton Herman F. Timm APPLETON Herman F. Timm, 77, of 444 Paul Combined Locks, died at 12:15 a.m.

today following a lingering illness. Mr. Timm, an Appleton resident most of his life, was born March 9, 1892, in the Town of Center. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Appleton.

He had been employed for 25 years at Lawrence University, and for the past seven years had been custodian at St. Paul Lutheran Church. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. James Dake, Combined Locks, and Mrs. Robert Lueck, Appleton; three sons Raymond and Earl, both of Appleton, and Marvin, Neenah; one brother, William, Appleton; two sisters, Mrs.

Charles Sachs, Seymour, and Mrs. Elsie Schultz, Appleton; 16 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The Rev. F. M.
